How to view and export General Analytics in TimeTac?
Filter and analyze working hours by activity and person, then export as CSV, Excel, or PDF.

Working time statistics on the dashboard
The dashboard shows a summary of your working time statistics, including today's hours and this week's hours. You can switch between week, month, and year views to see your working time trends over different periods.
On mobile, a dedicated working time statistics screen provides the same information with charts showing your time distribution.
What do General Analytics include?
General Analytics show statistics and graphical evaluations of time entries. Working hours are displayed by activities or projects and broken down into numbers.
You get:
- Statistics on working hours
- Evaluations by activities and projects
- Total hours and percentage breakdowns
Create a General Analysis
1. Select a time period
- Navigate to Analytics > General.
- Select the desired time period from the left dropdown. Choose a preset or define a custom date range.
2. Filter by activities or projects
- Open the All activities dropdown.
- Select the desired activities or individual projects.
- Close the dropdown. The filter is applied automatically.
Tip: Activate the Show archived checkbox to also display inactive activities.
3. Filter by users (Admin and Account owner)
Info: With the Admin and Account owner roles, an additional user filter is available.
- Open the All users dropdown.
- Select one or more users.
- Close the dropdown. The filter is applied automatically.
Tip: Activate Show archived to also display archived users.
How is the General Analysis structured?
The analysis consists of four sections:
- Overview: Graphical display of tracked hours with a numerical breakdown. Toggle between In hours and In percent.
- Time: Graphical display of how tracked hours are distributed within the selected time period.
- People: Overview of tracked hours per user with the number of entries.
- People Digest: Summary of key metrics per user.
- Time entries: Table of all time entries matching the selected filters.
Export a General Analysis
Info: Exporting is only available in the web app and desktop app.
- Set the desired filters for the analysis.
- Click Export in the top right.
- Select the desired format: CSV (.csv), Excel (.xlsx), or PDF (.pdf).
Export as CSV or Excel
- Select the desired duration format: Decimals or Hours and minutes.
- Activate the checkboxes for the columns to include in the export (Include columns).
- Click Export.
Export as PDF
- Optional: Upload a custom logo (Custom logo).
- Select which charts to include (Show charts): Overview, Time, Users, Time entries.
- Define whether additional data should be shown for time entries (Add time entry data), for example Users or Note.
- Click Export.
Warning: With a large number of time entries, the PDF export may temporarily slow down the browser.
